Sitka

While reading an article today, I was reminded of the great year I spent in Sitka as a teenager. What a perfect place to grow up. I hope to visit again some day soon and see the changes that have taken place in the 18 years away.

I'll try to get some more photos up. Been working on it slow but sure.

When I moved to Sitka in 2000 from the midwest I experience culture shock right away. By the time I was finally adjusting I was leaving. Today I would leave the majority of my possessions including my watch and return with Sitka sneakers, rain gear, fishing and hunting weapons and hiking gear. Is the park out HPR completed? It was such a beautiful walk. How about Mt. Verstovia? Still beautiful? I am glad for the experience and one day will return although that year the spring of 2001 was perfect.
