Last night's Assembly Meeting
I suppose I will be the first to say I am pretty disapointed when it comes to the assembly. I watched the last part of it last night, when Marko came back to the meeting, wanted them to answer 5 questions he had about what specifically he had done wrong. (Relating to the goverment goverment meeting).
You know, I dont want to make it a racial issue, but bottomline if he is asking for an explanation, if he doesnt really understand what was wrong, do you think it is worth it explaining to him? Is it appropiate to yell at the top of your lungs and slam your cell on the table in ANY setting? Would you do that with your wife, parent, employee, much less public office? I am still baffled by this, and utterly disappointed. Signed the Disgusted Gemini |

People who were arguing against it [the resolution] seemed to be making it into a Native vs. white issue. I felt like they made it seem that everyone who was in favor of censuring the mayor was calling him a racist. That's the problem with generalizing. I was in favor of the censure, but not because of the race issue, simply because he gets away with acting in that manner far more often than a leader should. Whatever disagreements or frustrations there are, it can all be handled much better than raising one's voice at all present about "the assembly has been on my back about how I run meetings."
Just my two cents. Thx. |
