SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

Either there is a living breathing God, or there is not. Both possibilities are scary.

If there is a living breathing God, we better find out who He is, what He wants, and do it. Because, one day, you and I will have to stand before Him and answer for everything we ever said, done and thought. Imagine that everything that you ever said, done and thought just in the last week was recorded and played in front of your friends, family and community. What if your whole life was? As human beings, we have a standard of right, wrong, good and evil. But God will judge us by His standard of right, wrong, good and evil found in the Ten Commandments. Ask yourself if you have ever lied. How many lies do I have to tell to be a liar? How many times do I have to rape to be a rapist? How many times do I have to murder to be a murderer? Revelation 21:8 tells us that all liars (among other things) will have their place in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Ask yourself if you have ever stolen. The value of the item does not matter. If I have stole a piece of bubble gum, it does not matter the value. It is the desire of my heart to take something that does not belong to me. Have you ever said God or Jesus Christ in place of a 4-letter cuss word to express disgust or anger? This is called blaspheme, very serious in the eyes of God. There are still seven commandments left...Based on these questions, if you died today and stood in front of the God of the Bible, would you be innocent or guilty? Would you go to Heaven or Hell?

Now, if there is not a living breathing God, there is no one in charge and no one to be held accountable to. Every rape, murder, theft, kidnapping, robbery, extortion, lie, etc. will go unpunished. Oh yeah... It also means that we came from rocks and monkey's.

Last question.... Are we born good or bad? Who reading this had to be taught by their parents or anybody else how to lie? Who reading this with children had to teach them how to lie?
