Sitka

Howdy, folks.

I'm a young'ish (fisheries management) professional making the move to town. I've lived in Sitka on and off in recent years, and so have some leads (friends, et cetera), but would be interested in receiving advice and/or updates from anyone in the know regarding such matters.

Ideally, the housing option would be centrally located near downtown, as I'm hoping to avoid having to buy a car. I'd rather traverse by bicycle. Otherwise, I'm single, a non-smoker, mature/responsible, and own a small cat. I'm on the hunt for a one-bedroom abode with character, and have the option to exercise a certain amount of patience, given a temporary housing option provided by my company for such matters. I will need to rent for the near future, with the hope that I may someday buy my own place.

Any advice and tips would be greatly appreciated!
