Sitka

My wife and I and our seven kids and my mother and sister inlaw are all wanting to move to Alaska! We currently live in Oklahoma and are trying to figure out the cost of living and such!We are all excited about moving but are just trying to find the right place in alaska and sitka caught our eye! Could someone give me some imput on cost of living and school areas? I'm not to familar with alaska and it seems the more I enquire that sitka may be an island. Is it?

Yes, Sitka resides on Baranof Island. Google Earth excellent place to view it overhead.

Maybe you work for the FAA since you live in Oklahoma but with that many people moving up here you'd need a good job.
